We have covered before all the FDA-approved and cleared technologies that use any form of artificial intelligence (AI). Now based on the FDA’s public database, we like to think that at least partially we inspired, I’m happy to share two short videos, and dynamic infographics with you.

First of all, we analyzed which medical specialties have had the biggest amount of FDA approvals over the years.
Radiology is the clear winner of the AI race in healthcare! Just a decade ago, AI-powered medical devices approved by regulators were a novelty. But in recent years, they’ve gained significant momentum. The FDA has been closely monitoring this trend and the number of FDA-approved AI-based devices has surged from 650 to 950 in just one year. Now it’s over one thousand!
To visualize this rapid growth, we’ve created a short video highlighting the dynamic increase in device approvals over the past ten years focusing on every approval in the top medical specialties.
