So, let&#8217;s explore some other intriguing options out there.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Ch2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fgithub.com\u002FSignificant-Gravitas\u002FAuto-GPT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AutoGPT \u003C\u002Fa>and \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fmedium.com\u002Fthe-generator\u002Fchatgpts-next-level-is-agent-ai-auto-gpt-babyagi-agentgpt-microsoft-jarvis-friends-d354aa18f21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Co\u003C\u002Fa>\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>These open-source counterparts of ChatGPT allow anyone to integrate GPT-4 into their services or create self-prompting AI machines capable of autonomous tasks. \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.youtube.com\u002Fwatch?v=-N5Rhx-1K7w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AutoGPT\u003C\u002Fa> the original iteration requires coding knowledge, but everyone can test versions like \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fgodmode.space\u002F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GodMode\u003C\u002Fa>, \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Faiagent.app\u002F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AiAgent\u003C\u002Fa> or \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fagentgpt.reworkd.ai\u002F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AgentGPT\u003C\u002Fa> without learning Python.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>As fully autonomous examples of GPT-4 in action, AutoGPT showcases the AI&#8217;s ability to chain together its language model &#8220;thoughts&#8221; to accomplish set goals. AutoGPT is also extensible with plugins.&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>However, AutoGPT is an experiment, not a polished product, so it might stumble in even not-so-complex real-world scenarios. Also, be prepared for a potentially high running cost.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Ch2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.chatpdf.com\u002F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ChatPDF\u003C\u002Fa>\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>This is a tool for reviewing pdf files. You can upload your file, let ChatPDF analyse it, and then ask your questions, and the chatbot will fetch answers for you. Tested it on our own research paper and its answers were relevant. I also tested it on a Hungarian language HR survey that included tons of visuals and its answers were useless.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>In theory, this app can understand any language and respond in your preferred one. ChatPDF guarantees the security of your data in secure cloud storage, allowing you to delete it whenever you wish—a much-needed privacy feature, \u003Ca rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fmedicalfuturist.com\u002Fhere-is-what-even-healthcare-ai-companies-do-with-your-data\" target=\"_blank\">not obvious among various AI apps\u003C\u002Fa>.&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Ch2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.perplexity.ai\u002F\">Perplexity.ai\u003C\u002Fa>\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>This tool is very similar to ChatGPT but can search the internet. Based on my testing, it occasionally struggles to interpret prompts. For example, when looking for new statistics, it regularly comes up with several years old data. Also, it is cool how you can see the sources on which the algorithm based its answer, which is very handy.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>The &#8220;conversations&#8221; are less smooth than with ChatGPT, and Perplexity tends to overlook my previous prompts, even within the same thread. When playing the “guess who I am” game &#8211; I instruct the AI to try and set up a profile of me based on my previous prompts in the thread -, it totally drove itself into a meaningless loop about AI language models.&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>Upside: It has both iOS and Android apps and a Chrome extension.&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Ch2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.magicslides.app\u002F?via=chatgpt-alt\">Magicslides.app\u003C\u002Fa>\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>A tool aiming to transform text into “visually stunning” presentations. Its USP is the ability to generate presentations from just a topic and a slide count. The tool&#8217;s customization options include different themes, font choices, color palettes, and layouts. While it provides a certain number of free presentations per month, any excess would require a subscription. A downside: you need to agree to run ads in your browser upon installation, which might deter some users. It certainly discourages me.&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>MagicSlides is not the only presentation-wizard algorithm, many users recommend others like \u003Ca href=\"http:\u002F\u002Ftome.app\u002F\">Tome\u003C\u002Fa>, or \u003Ca href=\"http:\u002F\u002Fstoryd.ai\u002F\">Storyd\u003C\u002Fa>, or \u003Ca href=\"http:\u002F\u002Fpowermodeai.com\u002F\">PowerMode AI\u003C\u002Fa> &#8211; just to name a few.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Ch2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fconsensus.app\u002Fsearch\u002F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Consensus.app\u003C\u002Fa>\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>This is an AI-powered search engine designed to distill findings from scientific research. I really like this idea and think such tools will eventually become highly useful. We are not there yet, but progress is ongoing.&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>I started testing the system with a few of my pet peeves – questions I really want to find the answer to but never have the time to do proper research. Like &#8220;Why do so many women have lower back pain the day before their periods?&#8221; or &#8220;Is there a correlation between the number of siblings you have and the number of kids you have? (Will being an only child increase or decrease the odds of one having one child only?)&#8221; None of these questions could be answered with consensus. \u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>In theory, I really like the Synthesize function, which would spare a lot of time when researching complicated topics. But at the moment it is quite dumb. I tried using it on increasingly simpler questions, with no success either. At the moment they all have serious limitations and using them in medical work requires caution (or is impossible in many cases). So the brief was this: “Lab-grown blood transplanted into humans”.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>The main facts of the original article (and the breakthrough) are this:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Col class=\"wp-block-list\">\u003Cli>A UK research team transplanted lab-grown blood in very small amounts (5-10ml) into two healthy patients\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>The trial seems to have gone well\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>The team used stem cells to grow them into red blood cells\u003C\u002Fli>\u003C\u002Fol>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>And let’s see what the content generator algorithms came up with. However, we now have a new type of blood transfusion that is being tested on humans: lab-grown blood.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>Lab-grown blood is created using stem cells and it is possible to produce large quantities of this type of blood without any risk to the donor. The research on this topic has been going on for a while and there are many trials being run.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>In 2016, the first human trial was successfully completed by the Japanese company Kaneka Corporation with Dr. Takanori Takebe as their lead researcher. Although, I&#8217;m not even sure about that.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>But as we have seen, AI- creates trustworthy-looking texts about healthcare topics (and about finances, and so many other things) that are just not factual. \u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>There is so much talk about how synthetic media will enter healthcare and how algorithms will become our new colleagues. And that is fine if we talk about artificial narrow intelligence &#8211; chatbots that are trained to assist users in well-defined topics with a pre-set batch of information.&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>But imagine such AI algorithms stepping in and answering people’s questions about the latest treatments. \u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>It comes up with false claims &#8211; how lab-grown blood has cured leukaemia and beta-thalassemia patients, it creates connections between companies and researchers and research topics that were never connected.&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>I have no illusions. AI content generation WILL soon become pretty mainstream. We soon will be flooded with even more fake info than ever before. We all need to learn &#8211; or reinforce our habits &#8211; to check the sources of information. Beware, my friends. AI is here, it is generating content, and it is lying.
